Sugar Hair Removal

Sugaring is a natural hair removal method that uses a paste made from sugar, lemon juice, and water. It’s applied to the skin and gently removes hair from the root, making it less painful than waxing. The best part? It leaves your skin smooth and soft, with fewer chances of irritation.  The best part is that with regular sugaring, hair follicles will shrink over time, leading to thinner hair growth and sparser regrowth.

Benefits of Sugaring over waxing

The advantages of sugaring

Sugaring removes hair from the root, causing it to grow back slower.  Gradually you will see hair reduction as a result of regular sugaring because when the hair is removed from the root, it weakens the hair follicle, resulting in finer, sparser hair growth.  With each sugaring treatment, you will get better results and less pain over time.

Sugaring reduces the risk of breakouts because it does not require using strips or applicators.  this reduces the risk of bacteria transfer from the applicator to the skin.

Pre-Care Instructions

  • Exfoliate: Exfoliate the skin at least 2-3 days before your appointment, but avoid exfoliating on the day of or after.

  • Avoid lotions, creams, and oils.  DO NOT apply these products to the area that will be sugared.  Moisturizer can make the skin and hair slick, preventing the sugar from adhering.

  • Hair Length: Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long or about the length of a grain of rice.  If you shave, allow at least 10-14 days  of regrowth before getting sugared.

  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Do NOT tan or sunbathe for 24-48 hours before your appointment.

  • Avoid deodorant: If you are getting your underarms sugared, DO NOT apply deodorant the day of your appointment.

  • Hydrate: Drink plenty of water, especially on the day of your appointment.

  • Avoid caffiene and alcohol: Minimize your caffeine and alcohol intake to prevent your skin pores from tightening
